Pasta gigi Tianqi dan perusahaan yang memproduksinya, Guangxi Aoqili, sudah didaftarkan untuk dilelang di situs online milik Alibaba, Taobao, . Harga pembukaanya 163,24 juta yuan atau sekitar Rp337,6 miliar
Dalam catatan lelang, angka tersebut sudah termasuk 57 merek dagang lain yang masih terkait dengan Tianqi, kawasan industri tempat produksi, serta peralatan produksi.
Tak dijelaskan mengapa perusahaan dilelang secara online dan mengapa Taobao yang dipilih menjadi platform-nya.
Lelang di tahap pertama dibatalkan karena hanya ada dua pendaftar. Perusanaan memberi syarat bahwa pemenang harus melanjutkan produksi merek Tianqi sebulan setelah penjualan.
Tianqi merupakan merek pasta gigi populer di China pada awal tahun 2000-an, namun namanya memudar akibat ketatrnya persaingan.
Sementara itu Taobao merupakan situs jual beli online populer di China. Berbagai barang dijual di platform ini, mulai dari produk sehari-hari, perhiasan, helikopter, hingga saham perusahaan.
Bahkan, pengadilan China pernah melelang aset perusahaan kargo yang bangkrut, yakni pesawat Boeing 747 pada 2017.
