Jakarta:Wasir (Hemoroid) merupakan pembuluh darah vena yang membengkak di dalam anus dan rektum bagian bawah. Wasir mirip dengan varises, dapat berkembang di dalam rektum, yang disebut wasir internal.

Pasien seringkali datang berobat ketika sudah mengalami gejala berat. Sementara teknik penanganan wasir dengan metode konvensional seperti hemoroidektomi, dilakukan melalui prosedur pembedahan umum dengan melakukan sayatan untuk pengangkatan wasir. Hal ini akan menimbulkan nyeri serta penyembuhan yang lebih lama sehingga otomatis akan mengganggu aktivitas pasien hingga 4-6 minggu.
